Woods for Wildlife: Conserving Wildlife Habitat with Active Forest Management

REGISTRATION

•SIGN UP BY MAY 27 •

Much of our wildlife call forests home, not only well-known game animals such as deer and turkey, but also plants, pollinators, and species unique to the Carolinas. North Carolina woodland owners have the opportunity and desire to provide habitat for wildlife through active forest management, while delivering wood products and maintaining forest health.

Join us for a one-day workshop for professionals to learn more about managing and balancing woods for wildlife!

Content is designed for foresters, natural resource professionals, and technical assistance providers interested in achieving a balance between meeting wildlife objectives and the economics of forest ownership.

Topics will include:

•Balancing Economics, Wildlife, and Legacy

•Forest Management for Focal Animals and Plants

•Species Conservation Terminology and Responsibilities

•Financial Incentives

Lunch, training materials, CFEs & CPC CEUs provided.
