Pre - Conference Workshop:

A Project Learning Tree (PLT) Workshop will be offered from 1 to 4 at the Moncks Corner Inn. Max 25 people. 

Field Tour : A pre-conference Field Tour of Medway Plantation will be offered on Wednesday, June 13, to the first 35 registrants. Medway Plantation is a 6,000-acre privately owned plantation, whose history dates back more than 300 years. The plantation is adjacent to Goose Creek, SC, a bustling bedroom community to Charleston, SC, and its forestry management is central to Medway’s past and future. The plantation exemplifies the meeting’s theme of Keeping Forests Working in an Urbanizing World .

Technical Session: The Appalachian Society of American Foresters, South Carolina Division’s 2018 Summer Meeting will focus on Keeping Forests Working in an Urbanizing World. The technical session on Thursday, June 1 4 , 2018 , will address ways in which to keep forests productive in light of the increasing population pressures

Social: The Social will be held on Wednesday, June 13 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Santee Cooper’s Somerset Point in Pinopolis, SC, overlooking Lake Moultrie. A dinner meal of barbeque and beverages will be served.
