Upcoming Chapter and State Events:

Croatan Chapter Meeting Thrusday, Sept 16th @ 6 PM.

We'll meet at "The Folded Napkin" downtown Kinston on North St. between Queen and Heritage Streets (See the map). And for you technies it's N 35° 15.7', W 77° 34.9'.

Important information about the Folded Napkin:

1. It's air conditioning works well!
2. It's next door to the Mother Earth Brewery
3. They are making special arrangements for us -- a special buffet arranged by none other than Chair-elect Seth Ward!

The program will be "Wildlife and Forest Management" by Jessica Hornyack, Weyerhauser Wildlife Research Forester. We expect to recieve 1 CFE credit.

Other agenda items include:

• "Tree Farm" meeting in October
• A request to support a "Tree Farm Inspector" workshop
• A report on the Wayne CC scholorship development
• Plans for Dec meeting
• Officers for 2011
• Other items as needed

This should be a good meeting with a brewery next door and lots of opportunities for networking. We have one of the most active chapters in the state thanks to your involvement, so we know we can count on you this time too!
