Triangle Chapter Seedling Giveaway: April 19th, Museaum of Natural Sciences, 11 W. Jones St., Raleigh, NC. Weyerhauser Company has donated 2000 seedlings for distribution to the public as part of the Museum's Earth Day celebration.
Next Chapter Meeting: Wednesday, May 7th, 2008 at the Garden Gate Cafe, 1411 Aversboro, Rd., Garner, NC 27529. Our guest speaker will be Dennis Hazel, Assistant Professor and Extension Specialist at NC State University. Dennis has been leading the effort to research and promote the opportunity for NC forest landowners in the burgeoning bio-energy market. He will bring us up to date on his research and what recent state and federal energy policy will mean to forest management in NC. |
